I think it's great that there are so many Indians in canada. I don't know why people would think Canada belongs to white people only. Just because they happen to kill off the native peoples and steal all their land is no reason that other people cannot now come here and live lives because they're not Exterminating anyone and they're bringing their skills and their education and and better people actually to that country

I have no hatred for Indians or anyone from other nations. I drive a school bus and my bus is full of diverse cultures. My kids are amazing, polite, kind and a definite credit to their parents. The names I need to learn are the most difficult thing about immigration for me. Especially African names. They are lengthy and difficult to pronounce but the kids are very helpful that way. I had a muslim grandfather picking up his granddaughter and he said, after hugging her tight and kissing her on both cheeks, "This is my eye." I think he meant the apple of his eye, but it was adorable. I cannot hate people from different cultures, just because they are different. Get to know people first. I guarantee you won't hate them. There is so much to learn from each other.

this is actually a really good summary of the situation. just like how India has their bad people who have caused problems we canadians also have similar people in who are just as troublesome if not worse such as the junkies on the streets who I see all the time here in Montreal and cause so much chaos. a big argument which I also feel like is that we should only allow the best of the best to immigrate to Canada. my mom was an immigrant and is an incredibly hard worker who is more than deserving of a Canadian citizenship and even my close friend who immigrated from India is just like that and is also 10x cleaner than anyone else I've ever lived with. the fact of the matter is that we need to bring back those high standards which we had in the past and crack down and send back those who abused the system and illegally entered the country. India is the largest population in the world, there are a lot of great people there that Canada would most definitely benefit from have but there are also a lot of crappy people as well, we just need to ensure that the ones who are coming here are of the latter and not the former

Wherever I live, I try to find an Indian doctor as they are "extremely" well educated. Dr Raja Gopal saved my life by his quick action, for example. Let me say, there are a few like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli that may not be welcome if you want the home team to win of course, but in general Indian people are very hard working. There are rotten apples in every bunch of course. "When you go.....go India!!!"

I want to point out alot of anger is towards the Punjabi ppl migrating to Canada NOT all Indians. Many people have experience discrimination from the Punjabi community towards those residing in Canada. You can migrate to another country but when you refuse to mix/adapt with the country you are in, exclude people and overall push people out of their community because you have this"lets take over " mentality- Then maybe you shouldnt be here. Many other people from other countries migrate to Canada but do not act in the manner that Punjabi's have. There is a sense of entitlement, rudeness and disrespect I have witness with many of the Punjabi people coming here and maybe its time ppl called them out!

The Dutch adopted parts of Indian culture and made it part of theirs and Indian should be honored and proud just as the the Dutch should be honored for that which Indian la adopt as their own but it should be a choice of the host country and duty of the guest to adapt to the host first and foremost.

Thanks so much for this video! I admire the hard working and awesome culture of most people I have met who have come to Canada from India! We definitely needed help in filling in the deficit of employees that are needed in Canada! It is a shame that ALL political parties did not solve the housing issue which we knew was going to be a problem, many decades ago, even well before the Harper government! This is not rocket surgery! LOL In Northern Ontario we have a LOT of Indian immigrants. All the ones I have met are very well educated even though they are working in the service industries! I know several Indian Canadians who are Doctors, Teachers and Engineers! Almost all of my experiences have been positive! Of course it is human nature to always highlight issues, for example: I caught one group of people throwing garbage in a parking lot, and immediately notified them that they had dropped something, and even followed them with the garbage. One of the group stated, it was just trash. I told him there was a garbage can right over there, and I just KNEW that they did not want to throw it just lose on the ground, and wanted to help keep our town clean. They said sorry and politely picked it up and placed it in the garbage can. Hopefully lesson learned! I politely and respectfully spoke out, to a good resolution. My parents were immigrants from war-torn Germany. I know ALL about prejudice for new immigrants. Our parents being German-Canadian at a time right after WW2, where MOST Canadians had an Uncle, a Father, a Grandfather or someone they knew who had fought and some died because of Germans! Although I am not a person of colour, so I personally do not know that side of prejudice. We all need to treat each person as an individual and try not to paint all peoples with one brush! Asian-Americans is a blanket term, it includes ALL of Asia and to that, I would say it's as useless a term as trying to differentiate between a Tesla and a pick up truck by calling them all "Vehicles". Secondly, there is a slow and steady rise in anti-India / anti-Indian sentiment growing in this country. The root of this comes from the resentment many Americans feel that Indians (people from India) are taking away their jobs, and they are getting paid lots of money mainly in high tech industries. I know folks who even say they will not work if their company hires another India boss. You can see where this is going. It's 2024 now, but I am getting a gut feeling that anti-India/Indian sentiments will continue to rise in the United States (just like in the UK and in the West in general).

Mass immigration is Canada's biggest problem just like it is in the UK France Germany etc. We need mass deportations then have people come the proper way. Sorry I do not want to pay for illegals. The problems are their low education levels and ENGLISH skills are subpar or non existent. They do those bad things bc it’s in their BLOOD from poor 3rd World countries in general! But I saw on utube INDIA is rising and becoming more westernized in ways.

I'm a truck driver & when you spoke about manners it reminds me of the numerous times while on the road I will flash my lights to tell another truck driver his trailer is clear so he can come back over into my lane, but 90% of the time the Indian drivers don't flash back to say thank you. Little things go a long way & having good manners is a big deal in Canada.

It's not so much the Indians themselves, but the amount of them coming in. No time to /or want to assimilate, there's a serious job and housing crunch...it's simply too much, too fast. Couple that with protests demanding they stay isn't really kosher either. Pretty sure no one in any country would like this being brought to their doorstep, especially when the average citizen wasn't even consulted on this mass immigration policy. My great-great-great-great-grandfather came to this country in the War of 1812 his name is Sir Colonel James Fitzgibbon. Our family Legacy is in the history books of saving Canada from being a part of the United States during that war. That is on my mother's side of the family. On my father's side of the family I am native Ojibwe Indian. So my bloodline is purely Canadian. I was raised in downtown Toronto in the seventies and eighties and the most beautifully multi-cultural city in Canada. Never have I had a problem or even thought in any way of being racist. In those days an even until very recently I never had a problem with anyone from India. I loved the culture the food and for the most part people from India have always been very polite and accepting of the Canadian culture.. but that is no longer the case. And enough is enough

My recent experience was an Indian origin co-worker who needlessly put his tractor trailer into the median. Upon receiving a dangerous driving charge he claimed it was because he was brown. Sorry dude, falling asleep at the wheel has nothing to do with race. That said I work with numerous India co-workers who put in solid long days to support their families. May they have many children.
